Paul Connelly + Ferdy Unger Hamilton

My temporary manager at the time, Paul Connelly, ex football goalie/journalist who wanted to be my manager, was also at the Amsterdam show I had to play to get my work permit - everyone at the label + Ferdy’s friends who later became his fiefdom running Chrysalis + other labels were put up in hotel rooms because they wanted to see Laguna Meth in action - he had no money at all, this was a labor of love for him and he was not getting paid - he asked Ferdy if he could get a room as Ferdy and his psycophants wined + dined in the hotel restaurant (paul ate a half price sandwich that night from the supermarket) and Ferdy said ‘’ oh of course Paul, just ask them at the desk and I'll take care of it.’’ And as soon as Connelly walked away he said laughing to his entourage ’little does he know they’re sold out tonight.’’ And so Paul Connelly had to sleep in the park. Tim Vigon of Coalition fame may remember this well. Tim is another story and a true friend who only did 1 weird thing after I begged him to give my buddy Simon White a shot at management to help his band Bloc Party + told Simon at their first meeting ‘you can’t manage Michael anymore if you work with coalition’ which I still don’t know why he said that - however Tim has been so supportive, I love him for real + wish to remain his friend forever. The same goes for Ferdy. He has a mind and charm like no other and I am willing to forgive him completely as long as he will just be an honest, supportive friend who will help me help the children of the world contribute to the mass ascension of civilization.
